Various States to implement CPC report

After Union Government its now the turn of various State Government. May states have annouced the implementation of 6th Pay Commission in their respective states. UP, Haryana, Tamilnadu, West Bengal have already announced the implementation. It is hoped the majority of the states will announce the implementation this month itself.

Update (27/08/08) : MP Govt. has also announced acceptance of Pay Commission report.

    The pay commision report has disparty in terms of pay bands of group A posts Dy secetary /under secetary and equalant post scale i.e rs 12000 - 16300 and 10000- 15300 which comes under new pay band 15200- 39000 the total jump in the salary is appox 30% where as Directors and equal pay scales of rs 14300-18300 under new pay band Rs 37000-52000 appox total jump in the salary is 87 % according to yesterday economics times , this is huge gap in terms of pay band and gross salary etc

    Any Idea when will be the final report will be published . The govt. has said that I will be implemented W.E.F 1st Sept 2008.

    their appears to be a misinformation campaign on through media and through personal contact that A LT Col who does not face a single selection board (assured time bound promotion in 13 years and in 11 years for technical entry)was earlier equivalent to a Director which was never the case. Even Army has been posting Col (and not LT Col) as Cdr Wks Engrs a post tenable by Director of Central Civil Service in MES.In fact LT Col are being posted as Garrison Engineer a post tenable by Dy Dir of Central Civil Service in MES.Already career prospects of civilian officers are very bad in MES because of posting of army engineers ie a UPSC 1986 officer is only a Jt Dir even after 21 years and putting a 11 year technical entry officer over him will further demoralize the cadre
