IR before Diwali?

There are speculations in media that there may be some Interim Relief (IR) to the Central Government Employees before comming Diwali. Recently a news article has come in the Hindi Daily "Dainik Jagran" about this development. If this report has something correct in it then it may be good news to the lakhs of Central Government employees eagerly waiting for IR. This report gives indication of employees getting at least Rs.1000/- as IR. It is clear from this report that there is some thinking going on in the Government to give IR to the employees.

The scanned copy of this news paper article is available here.

now,SC too covered under commission. Last date of submission of comments by 31.8.2007 to commission. Then meeting may take place in Sept. 2007. clear sign of report being delayed. yet no sign of I.R. it is only false news and not be believed.

  4. The IR should be 10% of Basic pay plus DP. I think this will be appropriate calculation according to pay of each employee.

The pay commission is a sham as are the babus conducting it. Nowhere is the data on country GDP, growth, salary structure, etc figured in. Only unnecesary whining on how it will derail the economy. Simple suggestions pay the guys who deserve or let them leave. Babus couldnt care less and the achievers be more frustated. Radical thinking needs to be adopted to overcome and lack of productivity afflicting the govt sector. Pay up or let achievers go.
